Disappointing

So I saw my doctor. Actually I should say I saw my new doctor, because my old one is too far away. Let’s just say she didn’t get me.

I think it may be a symptom of where we live, but the second I mentioned ADHD she was trying to talk me out of it, as though every person she ever sees swears they have it. I get it, I’m sure there are a lot of people round here looking for an excuse as to why their kid isn’t top of the class. But when she said I was stupid to have my tubes tied I kind of lost all respect for her.

She sent me on my way with some anti-depressants and an order to see a counselor. So we’ll see what happens. Pretty sure a new doctor will be top of my list though.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure she’s right and I don’t have ADHD, I’d certainly rather not have it. But it would be nice to know that the medical professional telling me that has given it their best consideration.

Get yer Donkey on!

Anyone who knows me knows I love a Bugaboo. From the early days back in Amsterdam, to when monster no2 came along, I’ve been hankering after one of these babies for going on 8 years now. Although I did get to own the Bee for a short while, Kyle quickly outgrew it (surprise) and it had to go.

So when the Donkey came along I was excited! A bigger Bugaboo for my bigger baby! But alas, that also means a bigger price tag. So I’m entering a giveaway over at Baby Gizmo to try and win one, since $1200 for a stroller ain’t happening.

Well that didn’t last long did it!

Wow, it’s been 10 days and somehow I haven’t found the time to blog. Quelle surprise!

But I have been doing well in some other areas of resolution. Well as well as can be expected when you are me.

School – I went and took placement tests and got accepted to my local community college. I signed up to two classes and bought the necessary books. It took me all of 4 hours to drop the classes online. Let’s see how late I can leave it before returning the books.

Gym – I started a free trial on Monday. Admittedly only one day has passed since then. But I have every intention of signing up before the week ends. Of course we know how that usually goes.

Clutter – its coming along slowly. I organized the kids clothes today. And left a big pile of old ones to sort out some other time. Yeah.

I’m getting there. I got some great advice on getting evaluated for ADHD from Stark Raving Mad Mommy today, and I’m planning on seeing my doctor asap. The whole idea that I’m not actually just lazy and unorganized is quite amazing. I don’t know if I can imagine what life would be like any other way, but I think I could like it.

It’s a baby carrier, it’s a highchair – it’s both!

Yesterday I saw a review for the amazing new Onya baby carrier, which not only works as a carrier for babies between 15 and 45 lbs, you can also use it as an on-the-go highchair by attaching it to a dining chair – double the fun!

Another Baby Guy contest!

I swear Jamie has the best contests! (He also is better at keeping his site updated than I am. There will be more than just links on here, I swear!).

So go ahead and check out Bumbleride’s latest amazing stroller, which besides being an awesome 3 wheeler for those of us who like to get out and about with our tikes, is also made with sustainable fabrics!

You can also win one by entering the contest he’s running, although I’d rather win it myself if you don’t mind!
